Another concept plan is currently being planned addressing "space"
issues.
A new site specific environmental inventory was prepared by the
Department of Natural Resources as part of the Wild Land Urban
Interphase project. The inventory shows the area to the south as a
mixture of upland and wet areas that are very conducive to the proposed
greenway through this area. Because-this area has been disturbed by
soil disruption in the past, the vegetation consists of invasive reed
carary grass and other invasive plants. However, this area also
includes the banded soil water plant relationships that exist in the
rich fen areas that are being found elseware. This site is worthy of
preservation for public greenway purposes.
STAFF COMMENTS /ISSUES FOR CONSIDERATION:
December Environmental Board meeting on 01/03/01
• The Greenway through this area has been planned since 1992.
• Reduce the lot sizes to stay out of the wetland area indicated on the
original sketch plan.
• This greenway is an important Community issue
• The Greenway is an important community issue and should be publicly
owned.
See above built points.
Visual 0 e S•ace
Saddle Club Greeb,vii a\
Possible Trail Position
,II Infti r[ 1
