CITY OF <br />LINO LAS <br />10/24/94 <br />Maintenance <br />General <br />The Maintenance section is intended to guide the City staff in <br />assuring storm water facilities function properly. The first section <br />indudes a listing of the policies that determine maintenance needs. <br />The second part gives Maintenance Guidelines which are used by <br />the City staff to maintain the existing facilities. <br />Policy Elements <br />The City of Lino Lakes has approved several policies that <br />determine maintenance of storm water facilities in the City. <br />Selected policies that follow have been extracted from the Goals <br />and Policies section of the Policy Document portion of the Local <br />Water Management Plan. They should be adhered to when new <br />development or redevelopment is being considered. <br />Water Quantity <br />Policy 1.13: The City will perform maintenance measures to <br />assure proper function of the drainage system. <br />Water Quality <br />Policy 2.10: The City will take an active role in implementing <br />the necessary policies to allow development of <br />regional water quality ponds. <br />Policy 2.12: The City will perform maintenance measures to <br />keep potential pollutants from entering local water <br />bodies. <br />Recreation, Fish and Wildlife <br />Policy 3.5: The City will support programs for controlling <br />purple loose strife, Asian Milfoil and other noxious <br />vegetation. <br />Policy 3.6: The City will not take special measures to maintain <br />water in ponds used for sediment removal. <br />Local Water Management Plan SEH NO: LINOL9402.00 <br />Users Manual Page 23 <br />
