CITY OF <br />LINO L"-'S <br />10/24/94 <br />Management Practices <br />Construction Runoff Practices <br />These are best used in areas experiencing a high level of building <br />activity. They are intended to keep water and pollutants on the <br />building site. Individual practices include the following: <br />Controlling the site and disturbance of areas <br />• Slope stabilization <br />• Sediment barriers <br />• Straw bale barrier <br />• Filter fence <br />• Brush barrier <br />• Inlet protection <br />• Emergency dissipation <br />• Sediment traps <br />• Diversion <br />• Slope drains <br />Conservation Practices <br />These practices are directed toward minimizing soil and nutrient <br />loss. If implemented properly in the right areas, these practices <br />can eliminate 75% of the TSS, 50% of the nutrients, 40% of the <br />COD and 50% of the pesticides. These practices include: <br />• Soil surface preparation <br />• Topsoiling <br />• Surface roughing <br />• Surface grading <br />• Vegetation <br />• Vegetation establishment <br />• Temporary seeding <br />• Permanent seeding <br />■ Hydro- seeding <br />Local Water Management Plan SEH No. A- LINOL9402.00 <br />Reference Document Page 65 <br />
