They are intended to keep water and pollutants on the <br />building site. Individual practices include the following: <br />Controlling the site and disturbance of areas <br />• Slope stabilization <br />• Sediment barriers <br />• Straw bale barrier <br />• Filter fence <br />• Brush barrier <br />• Inlet protection <br />• Emergency dissipation <br />• Sediment traps <br />• Diversion <br />• Slope drains <br />Conservation Practices <br />These practices are directed toward minimizing soil and nutrient <br />loss. If implemented properly in the right areas, these practices <br />can eliminate 75% of the TSS, 50% of the nutrients, 40% of the <br />COD and 50% of the pesticides.
