8410.0030 <br />organization and its members for filling vacancies consistent <br />with Minnesota Statutes, section 103B.227, subdivisions 1 and 2; <br />N. the duration of the agreement and a process for <br />dissolution that provides for at least 90 days' notice of the <br />intent to dissolve to the affected counties and the board; and <br />0. a section defining how the membership will be <br />represented, with the total number of representatives to be at <br />least three. <br />Subp. 2. Updating. Joint powers agreements must be <br />updated if necessary to be in conformance with this chapter no <br />later than July 27, 1993. <br />Subp. 3. County membership. A county may be a member of a <br />joint powers agreement organization when the conditions <br />described in Minnesota Statutes, section 1038.211, subdivision <br />3, are present. <br />SA: MS s 1038.101; 1038.211; 1038.231; 1038.227 <br />HIST: 17 SR 146 <br />8410.0040 REMOVAL OF ORGANIZATION REMSESENTATIVES. <br />A manager of a watershed district or a member of a joint <br />powers board may be removed from the position by the appointing <br />authority before term expiration for violation of a code of <br />ethics of the watershed management organization or appointing <br />authority or for malfeasance, nonfeasance, or misfeasance, after <br />being provided an opportunity for hearing before the appointing <br />authority. Managers holding the position as an elected official <br />who are not reelected, or are serving an indefinite term at the <br />pleasure of the appointing authority, may be removed by the <br />appointing authority at will.
