*See text of subpart 10, item B, for wetland classification <br />equivalency. <br />NOTE: Wetland types Ll, L2, and R2 are generally not subject to <br />this chapter and cannot be used for wetland replacement, but are <br />included for possible future coordination purposes. <br />(2) Hydrologic unit ratio. <br />(a) Except as noted in unit (b), when a <br />replacement wetland is located in a different hydrologic unit <br />than the impacted wetland, as indicated by the United States <br />Geological Survey Hydrologic Unit Map for Minnesota (Figure 2), <br />the following ratios must be applied, as specified in subitem <br />(5): <br />Location of sites Replacement ratio <br />Within same watershed 0.0 <br />Different watershed 0.1 <br />Different accounting unit 0.3 <br />Different subregion 0.5 <br />Different region_ 1.0 <br />(b) The hydrologic unit ratio does not apply <br />when replacement for impacts within counties or watersheds <br />having 80 percent or more of their presettlement wetland acreage <br />intact is accomplished in counties or watersheds in which 50 <br />percent or more of the presettlement acreage has been drained or <br />filled. <br />(3) Inlet and outlet characteristics ratio. If <br />the inlet and outlet characteristics of a replacement wetland <br />differ from those of the impacted wetland, the following ratios <br />shall be applied, as specified in subitem (5). <br />The inlet and outlet characteristics ratio does not apply <br />when replacement for impacts within counties or watersheds <br />having 80 percent or more of their presettlement wetland acreage <br />intact is accomplished in counties or watersheds in which 50 <br />percent or more of the presettlement acreage has been drained or <br />filled. <br />Table 3.
