OF <br />_j LINO LAS <br />r <br />r <br />10/24/94 <br />Goals and Policies <br />Mission Statement <br />The Mission Statement represents the City's attitude towards water <br />management efforts. To accomplish the goals and follow. the <br />policies and standards, the City must have a single, consistent <br />approach. The Mission Statement focuses on what is to be <br />accomplished and how it will be accomplished. <br />Develop -water resource management practices, guide- <br />lines, and programs which are consistent with state and <br />federal laws, control flooding, maintain established water <br />quality standards, allow for planned economic growth, <br />and protect the environment diversity of the City. <br />General <br />The goals and policies of the Lino Lakes Local Water Management <br />Plan provides for future development and growth while mini- <br />mizing surface water problems and enhancing the environment. <br />The goals and policies are consistent with the goals of the RCWD <br />and VLAWMO while meeting the more specific and changing <br />needs of the City. <br />Goal <br />A goal is the desired end toward which the City's water manage- <br />ment efforts are directed. This plan identifies several specific goals <br />on which to base the City's water resources planning and manage- <br />ment functions. The goals of this plan were established in <br />accordance with the purposes of the water management programs <br />required by Sections 103B.201 to 103B.251. <br />Policy <br />Each goal has several corresponding policies.
