CITY OF <br />3 LINO LAKES <br />Li <br />a <br />a <br />10/24/94 <br />Goals and Policies <br />Water Quality <br />Achieve water quality standards in City lakes and wetlands <br />consistent with intended use and classification. <br />Policy 2.1: <br />Policy 2.2: <br />Policy 2.3: <br />Policy 2.4: <br />Policy 2.5: <br />Policy 2.6: <br />Policy 2.7: <br />Policy 2.8: <br />Policy 2.9: <br />The classification system established by the City <br />will dictate intended use and water quality stan- <br />dards. <br />Sedimentation ponds shall be constructed prior to <br />discharging into protected waters and wetlands. <br />All new development will reduce phosphorus <br />loading to a drainage system or water body in <br />accordance with the City's adopted phosphorus <br />budget for the subwatershed. <br />All construction plans developed for the mainte- <br />nance and /or improvement of water quality shall <br />include a detailed access and maintenance plan and <br />shall require City approval. <br />A community education program relating to pre- <br />serving and improving water quality will be <br />developed and implemented. <br />All on -site waste water systems shall be maintained <br />by the owner. <br />A water quality plan which outlines the education <br />programs, water monitoring needs, water quality <br />modeling requirements, phosphorus budgets for <br />subwatersheds, and any other water quality issues <br />will be developed and implemented. <br />A response plan to minimize the impact of hazard- <br />ous spills on protected waters shall be developed. <br />Agriculture areas will be regulated by the local soil <br />conservation district. <br />Local Water Management Plan SEH NO: LINOL9402.00. <br />Policy Document <br />Page 13 <br />
