CITY OF <br />a LINO Lis <br />_a <br />10/24/94 <br />Goals and Policies <br />Wetlands <br />Maintain the amount of wetland acreage and try to increase the <br />wetland values within the City. <br />Policy 7.1: A wetland management plan for wetlands in the <br />City shall be established. <br />Policy 7.2: A wetland classification system shall be developed <br />to manage and maintain wetlands. <br />Policy 7.3: Areas that can be used for wetland mitigation will <br />be identified by the City. <br />Policy 7.4: Wetland mitigation criteria shall be established <br />consistent with the Wetland Conservation Act of <br />1991, state and federal regulations, and the needs of <br />the City. <br />Policy 7.5: Alteration of wetlands is discouraged. Alteration <br />may be allowed on an individual basis if the <br />alteration can be properly mitigated in accordance <br />with the Wetland Conservation Act. <br />Policy 7.6: Wetland banking opportunities will be pursued by <br />the City in accordance with the Wetland <br />Conservation - Act. -- <br />Policy 7.7: Wetland Conservation Act of 1991 shall be used to <br />permit activities in and around wetlands covered by <br />the Act within the City. <br />Policy 7.8: Creation of open water areas shall be done in <br />conformance with the "General Designation <br />Consideration for Wildlife Pond Construction and <br />Wetland Alterations." <br />Local Water Management Plan SEH NO: LINOL9402.00 <br />Policy Document Page 19 <br />
