7 <br />7 <br />CITY OF <br />7 LINO LAS <br />1 <br />I <br />10/24/94 <br />Administration <br />Environmental Education Grant <br />The EPA's Environmental Education Grant, enacted <br />in 1991, is targeted at cities or organizations in the <br />amount of $25,000 or less. The Environmental <br />Education Grant is intended to finance local educa- <br />tion initiatives related to the nature environment. <br />Grants are awarded on a 50/50 cost -share basis. <br />• Clean Lakes Grant • <br />The federal Clean Lakes Grant is the next step in <br />lake restoration following the State Lake Planning <br />Grant Program. The program includes significantly <br />mOte funding than the state program and can be <br />used for development and implementation of lake <br />restoration plans. <br />• Section 319 - Clear Water Act <br />Funding through EPA's Section 319 program <br />supports priority watershed projects but is also <br />available for urban BMP and project <br />implementation coordination. <br />The grants program includes a spring application <br />period (May to June ). The program is significant <br />in that it funds implementation (i.e., construction ) <br />rather than funding planning efforts or studies. The <br />funds are available for either full or matching <br />funds. <br />U. S.
