The excavation of ponds in front of the lots and channels to the open water were two of the
major concerns. I have discussed these concerns with Mr. Vaughan and he has agreed to impose restrictive
easements or covenants on portions of the lots to address these concerns.
Other concerns include the loss of the loss of 3240 square feet for the bridge piers, the shading of the wetland
vegetation beneath the bridge, and the treatment of the storm water running off of the street and bridge deck.
I am ready to issue the permit authorizing construction of the bridge upon receipt of satisfactory bridge plans,
including details of how the runoff will be treated; and some instrument such as a conservation easement or
covenants restricting disturbance to the wetland fringe by homeowners.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
/1 '641
Tom Hovey
Area Hydrologist
c:
Ed Vaughan, 1432 Pheasant Hills Drive, Lino Lakes 55038
City of Lino Lakes, Jeff Smyzer
Anoka Conservation District, Chris Lord
Rice Creek Watershed District, Kate Drewry
DNR Information: 651 - 296 -6157 • 1- 888 - 646 -6367 •
An Equal Opportunity Employer
Who Values Diversity
TTY: 651-296-5484 • 1 -800- 657 -3929
A Printed on Recycled Paper Containing a
liii
Minimum of 20% Post - Consumer Waste
