The City required a 30 -foot setback from the right -of -way <br />according to the Zoning Ordinance, and allowed 46 -foot long driveways to reduce <br />the concentrated flow on the sides of the driveway which would ultimately <br />increase erosion. <br />Trehus inquired about a reduced slope on the driveways. Powell responded the <br />City would consider shorter driveways, but not crowned because no driveways <br />were over 10% and most were between 4 -8 %. <br />Staff explained the difference between urban and rural roads and noted that rural <br />roads were being used in a new subdivision.
