Mr. Chris
Lyden of 6275 Holly Drive west saw the turtle crossing the road in front
of his house on about May 22nd. He picked the turtle up and kept it
until he called me. The turtle seems to be a male ( concave plastron)
and measured 10 1/2 inches long . He will release the turtle in the
nearest wetland.
We will be entering this record in our Heritage database.
Still waiting for the Centerville lawyer to get the revisions to their
ordinance to our Attorney Generals office for approval THEN we can get
the buoys and sign up. It's very frustrating, and I've made numerous
calls.
Joan Galli
Nongame Wildlife Specialist
MN DNR
111151- 297 -2277
oan.galli @dnr.state.mn.us
