When <br />not in bloom or seed, <br />resembles non - seeding <br />Widgeongrass (page <br />73); but the leaves <br />are usually in <br />bushier clusters, the <br />sheathing base of the <br />leaves has a tapering, <br />flimsy tip, and the <br />rootstocks are long <br />and straight and <br />often have tubers. <br />
