Section 02940 - Erosion Control Blanket. <br />1.03 REFERENCES <br />FS O -F -241 - Fertilizers, Mixed, Commercial <br />1.04 DEFINITIONS <br />Weeds: Include Dandelion, Jimsonweed, Quackgrass, Horsetail, Morning Glory, Rush Grass, <br />Mustard, Lambsquarter, Chickweed, Cress, Crabgrass, Canadian Thistle, Nutgrass, Poison Oak, <br />Blackberry, Tansy Ragwort, Bermuda Grass, Johnson Grass, Poison Ivy, Nut Sedge, Nimble Will, <br />Bindweed, Bent Grass, Wild Garlic, Perennial Sorrel, and Brome Grass. <br />1.05 MAINTENANCE DATA <br />A. Maintenance Data: Include maintenance instructions, cutting method and maximum <br />grass height; types, application frequency, and recommended coverage of fertilizer and <br />herbicide. <br />1.06 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. Qualifications of workmen: provide at least one person who shall be present at all times <br />during execution of this portion of the work, who shall be thoroughly familiar with the type <br />and operation of equipment being used. Said person shall direct all work performed <br />under this section. <br />B. Standards: all materials used during this portion of the work shall meet or exceed <br />applicable federal, state, county and local laws and regulations. All seed shall be free <br />from insects and disease. Species shall be true to their scientific name as specified. <br />C. Provide seed mixture in containers showing percentage of seed mix, year of production, <br />net weight, date of packaging and location of packaging. <br />1.07 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Comply with regulatory agencies for fertilizer and herbicide composition. <br />B. Provide certificate of compliance from authority having jurisdiction indicating approval of <br />seed mixture. <br />1.08 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver grass seed mixture in sealed containers. Seed in damaged packaging is not <br />acceptable. <br />B. Deliver fertilized in waterproof bags showing weight, chemical analysis, and name of <br />1 <br />
