ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING JUNE 26, 2002 <br />• 4. OPEN MIKE <br />• <br />• <br />Kristine Marier representing the HERON (Homes, Environment, Roads and Our <br />Neighborhoods) group, came to the meeting to find out if anything had been <br />accomplished on the EAW. The group opposed a church being located on 92 <br />acres across from the heron rookery. The site plan consisted of ten acres of <br />impervious parking and an 80,000 square foot building. <br />Donlin stated that the herons left the colony for a third time. The Environmental <br />Board had not technically been brought into the loop. <br />Ms. Marier indicated the group could be contacted by calling the head of the <br />group Barbara Bor at (651) 426 -1563. <br />A discussion ensued concerning the healt e ¢ ° # eggs, in that they <br />were found to be lacking in the albumens <br />O'Dea indicated that the group was intervi iHugonian, and she found it <br />informative. <br />5. Asleson answered that he was <br />unsure. <br />Donlin referred to the article in the background noting that the costs to the <br />developer were reduced when the street width was reduced. She commented that <br />everyone wanted to save money. Asleson mentioned that it was effective if the <br />developer saved money for environmental issues. <br />2 DRAFT MINUTES <br />
