BOARD OF COUNTY COMIVIISSIONERS <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br />DATE: April 22, 2003 RESOLUTION #2003 -63 <br />OI4N'ERED BY COMMISSIONER: Kordiak <br />• <br />1 <br />AUTHORIZING THE REALLOCATION OF 2003 SCORE FUNDS <br />FOR EXPENDITURE BY MUNICIPALITIES IN 2004 <br />WHEREAS, since 1990, Anoka County has dedicated the SCORE funds that it has received from the <br />State of Minnesota to assist municipalities with their residential recycling programs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is experiencing severe budget shortfalls that may result in reduced <br />SCORE funding for 2004; and, <br />WHEREAS, the county wishes to allow the municipalities maximum flexibility to continue to provide <br />residential recycling programs during this period of budget shortfalls; and, <br />WHEREAS, the current municipal residential recycling funding agreements require the municipalities <br />to expend the SCORE funds by December 31, 2003; and, <br />WHEREAS, the county believes that it would be prudent to allow the municipalities the option of <br />reserving a portion of their 2003 SCORE allocation for use in 2004: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Anoka County will include in each municipal <br />residential recycling funding agreement for 2004 any SCORE funds that remain unexpended by that <br />municipality as of December 31, 2003. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the chair of the Anoka County Waste Management and Energy <br />Committee be authorized to forward a copy of this resolution to each of the twenty-one municipalities in <br />Anoka County. <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA) <br />COUNTY OFANOKA ) SS <br />1, John "Jay" McLinden, County <br />Administrator, Anoka County, Minnesota, hereby <br />certify that I have compared the foregoing copy of <br />the resolution of the county board of said county <br />with the original record thereof on file in the <br />Administration Office, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />as stated in the minutes of the proceedings of said <br />board at a meeting duly held on April 22, 2003, <br />and that the same is a true and correct copy of said <br />original record and of the whole thereof, and that <br />said resolution was duly passed by said board at <br />said meeting. <br />Witness my hand and seal this 22nd day <br />of April 2003. <br />JOHN "JAY" McLINDEN <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />YES NO <br />DISTRICT #1 — BERG X <br />DISTRICT #2 — LANG o., X <br />DISTRICT #3 — LANGFEI.
