Mike Grochala Page 2 August 19, 2003 • A Mn/DOT Metro District computation of Average Daily Traffic (ADT) estimated to be generated by the proposed development determined that the light industrial portion of the development would generate ADT of 1,847, while the proposed warehousing portion of the development would generate an additional 1,314 ADT, for total ADT of 3,161. For questions on this point, please contact Gene Hicks, Metro District Traffic Forecasts Engineer, at (651) 582 -1402. • A drainage permit may be needed for this development. The proposed development will need to maintain existing drainage rates (i.e., the rate at which storm water is discharged from the site must not increase). To determine whether a drainage permit will be required, the City or project developer will need to submit before /after hydraulic computations for both 10 and 100 year rainfall events verifying that all existing drainage patterns and systems affecting Mn/DOT right of way will be perpetuated. The storm water rate of runoff will not be allowed to increase to Mn/DOT Right of Way. This material will need to include drainage area maps for proposed and existing conditions, as well as the proposed grading plans for the site. The hydraulic calculations will need to correspond to the drainage area maps. Please direct questions concerning these issues to Eric Kasa, (651- 634 -2076) of Mn/DOT's Water Resources Engineering Section. • Mn/DOT owns access control along I -35W, and also for approximately 100 feet along Lake Drive (CSAH 23). As a reminder, Lake Drive is CSAH 23 (County State Aid Highway) Route 23. Any work on a CSAH route must meet State Aid rules and policies. Also, the County must review any changes to its County State Aid system so that they stay within its system limitations. Please note that CSAH 23 is Anoka County's jurisdiction and the County must have the opportunity to review and comment on the development as well. Driveway widths, other than those recommended, up to 50 feet will be permitted only by special permission of the Commissioner of Transportation or designee.
