•
•
Site Management
Under the Grading, Drainage, and Erosion Control Plan notes (Attachment 5),
Item 2 indicates that 4 inches of top soil and sod or seed be placed on disturbed,
unpaved areas. This should say that 4 inches of topsoil would be thoroughly
worked (tilled) into the soil. Notes should also say that no soil shall be imported
or exported from the site without City approval.
The Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (Attachment 6) notes, item 9 states
that sediment laden water must be discharged to a sediment basin whenever
possible, if not possible it must be treated with appropriate BMP's. This should
include a statement that the City will be notified when storm water must be
treated with alternative BMP,s and agree to them. Item 11 in the notes states
that external washing of construction vehicles must be limited to a defined area
of the site. This site should be identified on the plan, or at pre- construction time,
and include the internal washing of cement carriers. Sequencing under the notes
section (item 2) indicates the construction of a rock construction entrance. The
plan should include additional stockpile of rock on site to top dress the entrance
pad when the pad becomes filled up. In addition, in the notes concerning
sequencing, the sediment ponds are constructed early. The ponds should be
dug with minimum compaction equipment and fenced off to further traffic during
construction. Item 15 under notes #2 should include a statement of restoring soil
to pre- construction soil densities. Tilling, plowing, disking, etc can do this.
Options:
1.
