CITY OF LINO LAKES ENVIRONEMENTAL BOARD <br />NOVEMBER 17, 2004 MEETING MINUTES <br />The Chair called meeting to order at 6:37. <br />Minutes were reviewed and approved by O'Dea and second by Grundhofer. <br />Agenda was approved by Grundhofer and seconded by Bauman. <br />Open Mike: No comments brought forth <br />Action Items: <br />Kingdom Hall Church of Jehovah's Witness Update <br />Marty Asleson reviewed the previous Environmental Board recommendations. The <br />Church Engineer Dave Knutson, 38 West Golden Lake Road, Circle Pines discussed the <br />following: <br />1. Lighting, outside signage: The Church submitted to City Staff a plan and picture of <br />signage. The sign will be 4X10 feet and light directed per City signage requirements. <br />The parking lights will be on timers and used only during services, stated to be <br />Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdays. Services, church activities will be completed by 10 <br />p.m. <br />2. Septic System: The Board had requested that the system be reoriented to the front. <br />There is not enough space to do this. The system instead will be relocated to the side <br />of the church, further away from the lakeshore. <br />3. Neighborhood screening, fence and or trees: The Church is working with neighbors <br />on what they would like to see there. <br />4. RCWD has been consulted on rain garden design and swales off the parking lot. <br />Recommendations from the Board: (Kukunen, Grundhofer, Smith) <br />a. The Church would be expected to hook up to City Sewer when it became <br />available. <br />b. That the Lakeshore Ordinance for shoreline management/lighting be followed, <br />including lights from cars. <br />c. Jon Christenson of Anoka County reviews the septic system design. <br />Pine Vista Firewise: Marty gave an update on the progress of this project. <br />Review and Discussion of 2004 Goals and Establishment of 2005 Goals: <br />Board set goals for 2005. <br />Approval of 2005 Meeting Dates: 2005 Meeting Dates were approved. <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />
