With the <br />information you gather, you will be able to complete the Community <br />Wildlife Habitat Registration Form (Note: This form is a PDF document, size <br />550 Kb. Need PDF help ?). <br />Activities required and /or suggested for registration include: <br />• Name your Community Wildlife Habitat project <br />• Identify team leader <br />• Recruit at least four members for the Habitat Team <br />• Set up and maintain a project journal /notebook <br />• Complete Part I: Community Basics of Community Description <br />and Demographics <br />• Establish project goals and vision for one, three and five years <br />• Submit registration form <br />• Obtain a map of your community <br />• Complete Part II: Ecological Characteristics of Community <br />Description and Demographics <br />• Obtain letter of support from community Government Officials <br />• Develop a five year budget <br />• Create plan for keeping all Habitat Team Members in regular <br />communication <br />• One member of Habitat Team becomes a Habitat Stewards <br />Volunteer (5 bonus points if they become a Habitat Stewards <br />Host!) <br />• Identify three potential funding sources <br />• Identify three potential sites for Backyard Wildlife Habitat <br />demonstration gardens <br />Once your community registers its Community Wildlife Habitat <br />project with NWF, you will receive: <br />• Several copies of your Community Wildlife Registration <br />Certificate; <br />• A point of contact at NWF for ongoing assistance and support; <br />• Information on how to get NWF materials; <br />• Coverage on NWF's Community Wildlife Habitat webpage. <br />The actual process from when a project is registered to Community <br />
