• • • Agenda Item 5D Environmental Board Meeting Date: August 31, 2005 Topic: Lakewood Apartments Background: . This is final plat information. Surface Water issues and general landscape issues have previously been brought to the Board. Analysis: Since the preliminary plan has been reviewed for Legacy of Woods Edge, input is now confined to site specifics. The landscape and lighting plan are submitted as review items. Landscape (Attachment 2) Plant Schedule: Crimson King maple should be changed to a species that is a bit more zone appropriate and non - invasive. I would suggest changing this species to one of the following -- Northern Pin Oak, Red Oak, Bur Oak, Autumn Blaze Maple, Hackberry, American Linden, Green Ash. I would also suggest changing the Colorado Blue Spruce to White Spruce or Norway Spruce. Caution and care should be taken to ensure vehicular sit -lines are not obstructed. Trees should be at least 30 feet from street corners. Eastern Red Cedars proposed for the NE corner of the building may be too close. Sod areas must be shown as irrigated. All top soils should be described as incorporated into the sub soil for several inches. Lighting Plan (Attachment 3) The Lighting and Photometric plan is included as Attachment 3 for your review. Erosion Control The developer should submit an erosion control plan that details NPDES requirements and is acceptable to the City. The plan and inspections reports for this plan must be located on site with an indicated location on the plan. Recycling There should be a plan for organized recycling within the apartment building.
