The
requested application type is for a Site Plan Review. The information is based on the enclosed site plans
and building floor plans and elevations.
GENERAL:
SMW Federal Credit Union is proposing to build a new facility in lots 2 and 3 of the JADT Development at
the intersection of Access Outlet and Apollo Drive.
The building itself consists of three levels. The lower level, approximately 2,300 square feet, contains the
mechanical room and a storage room. The main level, approximately 11,554 square feet, will be used for
general credit union operations, with offices, drive -up teller, lobby, work room, waiting area, etc. The
drive -up window /canopy is shown on the southeast side of the building; the main entry is located on the
northwest. The upper level, approximately 10,400 square feet, will be used for an employee lounge, toilet
rooms, offices, call center, and community room.
Site access will be from the Access outlet road between the existing McDonald's restaurant and Wells
Fargo locations, which provides access for these three developments off of Apollo Drive. The adjacent
retail shopping center adjacent to the proposed SMW Federal Credit Union site will also have a parking
drive connection for traffic to flow in an East/West direction connecting to another existing curb cut exit
entrance onto Apollo Drive. A total of 88 parking stalls are required; we are showing 93 parking stalls
located at the west, north, and east sides of the building. The Auto -bank (drive -up) has more than 100' of
vehicular stacking space, or room for approximately 5- vehicles per lane. The Auto -bank will have 4 -lanes
installed; for lanes for drive -up transactions; the outer most lane contains a drive -up ATM. Please see the
attached landscaping plan for the landscaping layout.
IMAGE:
The design of the new building provides an 'image' that is consumer - friendly, monumental (non - threatening)
and warm. The exterior material for this building consist of maple ridge stone from Halquist Stone
Company, mixture of brick and eifs veneer materials with vertical and horizontal joints. The entry canopy,
the roof overhang, and the auto -bank canopy will be clad in copper composite metal panels. All windows
and the entry will be colored blue anodized aluminum frames.
OCT 1 0 2005
