Officers are expected to be actively <br />engaged with all members of the community. Officers are also expected to participate in <br />activities that allow them to identify current and emerging problems affecting our citizens. <br />Officers often use the SARA model to formulate a response to their identified problem. <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department operates under the COP and POP philosophies because <br />research and past practice have indicated that successful police departments operate with a <br />high level of focus and incorporate a wide array of diverse approaches to crime prevention <br />(Weisburd & Eck, 2004).
