Due to the high <br />water table, standing water and the lack of topographically prominent features, only one <br />acre (0.4 hectares) of the 240 acres (97 hectares) was tested. K. Anne Ketz, M.A., RPA, <br />served as Principal Investigator for archaeology. <br />The study area for architectural/historical properties included all properties located within <br />the project area. Should the project be altered from the present proposal, the study area <br />for architectural history will need to be adjusted as appropriate. The architectural history <br />assessment included background research and a visual reconnaissance of the survey area. <br />William Stark, M.A. served as Principal Investigator for architectural history. <br />The following report describes project methodology, environmental setting, previous <br />investigations, results, and recommendations for the Nature's Refuge Development <br />project area. Because no archaeological resources were encountered during the survey, <br />the inclusion of contexts would be extraneous to the report; therefore, none are presented <br />here. <br />
