ATTACHMENT 6 8. All pond, infiltration, and rain garden areas must be analyzed for potential groundwater pollution. There should be at least 2 -feet of sand separation between the bottoms of water bearing structures and the normal high elevation of the ground water. 9. All proposed infiltration, pond and rain garden areas must be protected from construction traffic and compaction. These areas must be fenced off and built as on of the grading operations. Low impact equipment should be used to construct water treatment/pond areas. Soils must be loosened to pre construction capacity for infiltration if compacted. 10. All exposed soils, shall be covered and seeded to the City's satisfaction. All perimeter and areas determined to have an erosion potential, shall have fence, compost berms, or properly installed fabric socks installed. It is recommended to have a stockpile of compost or socks on site to quickly solve erosion issues. 11.AII SWPPP violations will have a 24 hour correction period. After this the City will take action to correct inefficiencies. This may include red -tags, project shut- downs, and outside contract for work to make corrections. All expenses will be charged to the project. 12. The developer should modify the submitted SWPPP (Attachments 8 and 9) so that: • under all of the paragraphs that start with "Description of... ". These should be described. • number 7, Construction Activity Sequence, #1 should say "Install and maintain...." • number 7, Construction Activity Sequence, add a #11 that says "protect infiltration and rain - garden areas prior top soil disturbance and construct as one of the last features. These areas will be protected by using fence." • number 8, Inspections and Maintenance, add after last * "* Install BMP's to prevent further off site discharges, make necessary changes to SWPPP." • number 8, add a* that says " concrete washout area will be cleaned out periodically and maintained as necessary." • number 9, Pollution Prevention Management Measures, under solid waste: add a specification that all containment structures be covered nightly and during high wind days. •
