Since there is evidence that this area has <br />excess inflow due to illegal sump pump connections to the sanitary sewer system, staff is <br />recommending sump pump inspections be conducted when the MIU's are installed. The <br />City of Lino Lakes pays in excess of $20,000 annually in the Lakes Addition area due to <br />excess inflow and infiltration. <br />Water meters more than 15 years old will also be replaced. There is an estimated 150 <br />homes in Route 5 that will need water meter replacement. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Authorize staff to begin conversion to automatic meter reading system. <br />2.
