AGENDA ITEM 4E STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer DATE: February 18, 1999 TOPIC: Resolution No 99-08 - Approve Plans and Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for Bids, Lake Drive Trunk Utility Improvement - Phase 2 VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority BACKGROUND: The public hearing for Phase 2 of the Lake Drive Trunk Utility Improvements was held on November 24, 1997. This project includes the construction of trunk and lateral sanitary and watermain along Lake Drive from 79th Street to Main Street and along Main Street from Lake Drive to Lino Lakes Elementary (refer to attached exhibit). The trunk sanitary sewer line is proposed to be %rated primarily on the east side of Lake Drive, and in Main Street, with smaller diameter lateral sanitary sewers and utility service stubs to accommodate future extensions and connections. Funding and special assessments are as outlined in the feasibility report following State Statutes and the Lino Lakes Charter. Funding for the project will be through special assessments levied against benefiting properties as property owners connect to the utility system and the City's Area and Unit Fund. The special assessments are calculated following the Lino Lakes Public Improvement Financing Policy.
