MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />AGENDA ITEM 6 G <br />Jeff Smyser <br />April 26, 1999 <br />-Formal Resolution: Comprehensive Plan Amendment <br />-2nd Reading: Ordinance to Rezone to PDO <br />Clearwater Creek 3rd Addition <br />CITY COUNCIL ACTION: 4/5 vote - Resolution to amend Comprehensive Plan <br />4/5 vote - Ordinance to Rezone to PDO <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the April 12 meeting, the City Council voted to approve the Clearwater Creek 3rd <br />Addition project. <br />The Comprehensive Plan amendment includes changing the land use on the southeast 40 <br />acres to Single Family Residential with MUSA. A Plan amendment requires a formal <br />resolution. The formal resolution is attached. <br />The rezoning to PDO for single family residential is a change to the Zoning Ordinance <br />and, like any ordinance amendment, requires a first and second reading. Tonight's <br />meeting will be the second reading. The formal ordinance is attached. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Approve resolution to amend the existing Comprehensive Plan for the southeast 40 <br />acres of the site. The MUSA allocation would become effective only at the time of <br />final plat approval. (If the new Comprehensive Plan is adopted, this amendment will <br />be rendered unnecessary.) <br />2. Approve ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance to rezone the entire 163± acres to <br />Planned Development Overlay for single family residential. <br />3. Do not approve the resolution and ordinance. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Options 1, 2 <br />
