AGENDA ITEM 3C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Dan Tesch <br />DATE: 7/12/99 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of an Application for a Block Party, Ellen <br />Court <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Attached to this "green sheet" is a request to hold a block party in the Cul-de -sac, <br />Ellen Court, on August 7, 1999 starting at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m. Also <br />attached is a map showing the location of the proposed party and the signed petition from <br />property owners acknowledging they have been notified of the party. These property <br />owners are indicated by the slant marks on the map. Lots 18 and 16 are new construction <br />and are not occupied as of yet. <br />Both the Police Department and the Public Works Streets Department have been <br />given information about the party. Public Works will provide barricades and the <br />applicants are making arrangements to have a police officer and the fire department stop <br />by. The group will also take advantage of the Lino Lakes. Party Wagon. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt a motion approving the block party. <br />2. Return to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No.1 <br />
