• Kenneth Skoglund 7481 Lake Drive Lino Lakes, MN 55014 -1904 June 3, 1999 Planning and Zoning Board City of Lino Lakes Lino Lakes, Minnesota Dear Board: We have concerns about the Amoco /Oasis Market at 7509 Lake Drive. Our complaints have been expressed repeatedly many times over the past years. We live at 7481 Lake Drive for the last 35 years. We have addressed our complaints to the Building Inspectors Pete, and Tom, Mary Kay Wyland, and we have invited Mayor Sullivan on October 23, 1998, to visit our home to see and hear what goes on, but she has never honored our request. John Miller told us that there was to be a large sign posted stating the rules of truck parking, that was many years ago and several gas station owners. John Miller stated that there was a 2 hour truck parking, no sleeping and no unattended trailers or truck and trailers, also a fire lane sign was to be posted. Today, there is still NO rules or regulations posted for truck drivers. There should be no reason for truck trailers left running unattached, unattended from a truck. Example: Memorial weekend, this past week (May 28, 29, 30, and 31, 1999) there were 10 trailers parked with only 2 trucks attached to the trailer. The one trailer (NO TRUCK ATTACHED) had refrigeration running 24 hours a day, Friday night, all Saturday, all Sunday and Monday late. There was loud radio noise at 11:55 P.M., you couldn't slee . There has been times when all parking spaces for truck /trailer were full and they parked double and then single along the south property line. Last summer when putting in the water and sewer for the new Town Center a pick -up truck went behind the semi- trucks in the grass and camped for the week, gas transport trailers parked unattended and unattached from a truck. We have given pictures to Tom the Building Inspector, regarding the truck parking and the lighting at the station. The lights, light up our whole yard. They are blinding when turning into our driveway at night. In the past there were drugs being pushed, extra loud noises and it doesn't make any difference who the owner of the gas station is, OUR CONCERNS HAVE NEVER BEEN FULLY ADDRESSED AND CARRIED OUT. We were never informed that the station was a trucking terminal, or a camp grounds. Please consider our concerns, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call 651- 786 -4470. ,
