Remove trash when encountered. <br />11. Specific. Approach and Strategy <br />Areas proposed for similar treatment are grouped for this discussion. The area numbers <br />refer to those indicated on the attached plan. <br />A~ Revtgetate With Wet or.Mesic Prairie Seed Mixture. <br />General activities within these areas will include removal (via chemical and mechanical <br />treatment) of existing weedy communities, seeding of appropriate native prairie seed <br />mixture. and.shyrt and long -term management. Management activities may include spot <br />• chemical treatment, mowing,*an d burning. <br />This . treatment will be used for areas A2, A3, A4, A5, A7, A8, All, 83, 86, C2, Dl, E6 <br />Acreage proposed for this treatment is 10 acres. <br />• Costs are ,estimated to be $1250. per acre. <br />• <br />Total cost for areas receiving this treatment is approximately $12,500. <br />Revegetation activities will begin in April 2000. Seeding will be completed in June <br />2000. Management activities associated with the establishment of the community will be <br />completed in 2003. <br />The long -term viability of these areas is expected to be good, with low to moderate on- <br />going. maintenance requirements. <br />B. Revegetate Storm Water Ponds with Wet or Mesic Prairie Seed Mixture <br />General activities will include preparation of a suitable soil surface, seeding of an <br />appropriate native prairie seed mixture, and short and long -term management. A wet <br />mixture will be seeded near the NWL and a mesic inixture will be seeded throughout the <br />remainder of the graded areas. <br />This treatment is proposed for areas Al, A6, A9, 82, E3, and E5. <br />Acreage proposed for this treatment is 3.5 acres. Costs are estimated to be $1250. per <br />acre. <br />Total cost for areas receiving This treatment is approximately: $4500. <br />
