AGENDA ITEM 6G <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: October 25, 1999 <br />TOPIC: PUBLIC HEARING - Resolution No. 99 - 102, Adopt Assessment <br />Roll, I35W/TH49 Interchange Commercial Development Trunk <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On September 13, 1999, the City Council set the Public Hearing for the <br />proposed assessments for the I35W/TH49 Interchange Commercial <br />Development Trunk project for Monday, October 25, 1999. All necessary notices <br />have been mailed to affected property owners indicating the amount of the <br />assessment and the date of the hearing. <br />After the 1997 assessment hearing for this project, no specific action was taken <br />regarding the disposition of the attached assessment roll. Copies of the original <br />assessment roll, minutes from the previous discussions, and a petition which <br />was received against the assessments are attached. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt the original assessment roll for the 135W/TH49 Interchange <br />Commercial Development Trunk project. <br />3. Adopt a modified assessment roll for the 135W/TH49 Interchange <br />Commercial Development Trunk project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />As the City Council has changed since the last hearing, we are reserving our <br />recommendation pending discussion by the current City Council. <br />
