COUNCIL MINUTES July 28, 2014 <br />APPROVED <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />2 MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 DATE : July 28, 2014 <br />5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. <br />6 TIME ENDED : 7:20 p.m. <br />7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Stoesz, Kusterman, Rafferty, <br />8 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br />9 MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br />10 <br />11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br />12 Grochala; Chief of Police John Swenson; City Planner Katie Larsen; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />13 <br />14 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />15 <br />16 There were no public comments. <br />17 <br />18 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />19 <br />20 The agenda was amended to remove Item 3A; the council is requesting additional information from <br />21 the Charter Commission. <br />22 <br />23 SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />24 <br />25 2013 -2014 Lino Lakes Ambassadors and Ambassador Candidates - The current ambassadors <br />26 presented awards that they have received during the past year and thanked the city council for the <br />27 opportunity to represent the city. Candidates for the coming year ambassador positions were <br />28 introduced. <br />29 <br />30 CONSENT AGENDA <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Roeser moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1I, as presented. <br />33 Council Member Kusterman seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />34 <br />35 Public Services Director DeGardner was asked to comment on Item 1D. He explained that the <br />36 resolution indicates the city's support of the trail /master plan. Interested persons can view the plan on <br />37 the Anoka County Website. The mayor noted that the city has a great trail system and the trail <br />38 proposed by this plan would augment that.
