COUNCIL MINUTES July 28, 2014 APPROVED 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES 2 MINUTES 3 4 DATE : July 28, 2014 5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. 6 TIME ENDED : 7:20 p.m. 7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Stoesz, Kusterman, Rafferty, 8 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert 9 MEMBERS ABSENT : none 10 11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael 12 Grochala; Chief of Police John Swenson; City Planner Katie Larsen; and City Clerk Julie Bartell 13 14 PUBLIC COMMENT 15 16 There were no public comments. 17 18 SETTING THE AGENDA 19 20 The agenda was amended to remove Item 3A; the council is requesting additional information from 21 the Charter Commission. 22 23 SPECIAL PRESENTATION 24 25 2013 -2014 Lino Lakes Ambassadors and Ambassador Candidates - The current ambassadors 26 presented awards that they have received during the past year and thanked the city council for the 27 opportunity to represent the city. Candidates for the coming year ambassador positions were 28 introduced. 29 30 CONSENT AGENDA 31 32 Council Member Roeser moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1I, as presented. 33 Council Member Kusterman seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. 34 35 Public Services Director DeGardner was asked to comment on Item 1D. He explained that the 36 resolution indicates the city's support of the trail /master plan. Interested persons can view the plan on 37 the Anoka County Website. The mayor noted that the city has a great trail system and the trail 38 proposed by this plan would augment that.
