AGENDA ITEM 7B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: David Ahrens, Public Works Director /City Engineer <br />DATE: January 12, 1998 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No 98-05, Approve Payment No 6 (final) and Change <br />Order No 1, Woods of Baldwin Lake 2nd Addition Street and <br />Utilities Project <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Contractor for the Woods of Baldwin Lake 2"d Addition Street and Utilities <br />Project is requesting City approval of payment no 6 (final) in the amount of <br />$2,254.08 and approval of change order no 1. All necessary lien waivers and <br />Withholding Affidavits have been submitted to staff thereby meeting the <br />requirements of the Construction Contract. <br />The project included the construction of street, watermain and sanitary sewer <br />serving the 8 lot single family home subdivision. The final contractor amounts <br />are summarized as follows: <br />Original Contract amount $108,947.71 <br />Change Order No 1 $ 3,756.35 <br />Final Contract Amount $112,704.06 <br />Change order no. 1 includes overruns and underruns on various construction <br />quantities due to actual amounts used to complete the project versus the plan <br />quantities. The costs associated with Woods of Baldwin Lake ri Addition were <br />assessed to the benefiting property owners including the change order described <br />above. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staf,for further review. <br />2. Approve Resolution 98-05 approving payment 6 (final) and change order no <br />1 for Woods of Baldwin Lake 2nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution 98 -05 be approved. <br />
