City Admin. Search <br />Page -2- <br />Services <br />The following is a list of steps (services) that we can expect to follow: <br />1. Community Profile <br />Designed to market the community to potential applicants. <br />2. Administrator Profile <br />This step is designed to focus the city council on the type of administrator best <br />suited to our community and organization. What leadership qualities and <br />management styles are we looking for in the new City Administrator. This <br />step could be done in conjunction with the city council's goal setting session. <br />3. Advertisement and Recruitment <br />National or Regional? (be prepared to pay airfare and hotel for top candidates) <br />4. Candidate Analysis <br />The consultant will perform an analysis of the candidates and forward to the <br />city council a list of 10 to 12 candidates. <br />5. Council Review <br />Narrow the number of candidates to 5 or 6 finalists. <br />6. Activity Day <br />The finalists are invited to spend a day getting to know the organization and <br />community. Activities would include spending time with department heads, <br />touring the city and visiting city facilities. A social hour can be arranged for the <br />end of the day. <br />7. Interviews (day after Activity Day) <br />The council may wish to participate in the development of the interview <br />questions, interjecting Lino Lakes specific questions or scenarios. The council <br />may also wish to establish a committee made up of department heads to <br />participate in the preliminary interviews. <br />8. Background Checks <br />Background, media and reference checks will be performed on the top 2 <br />candidates. <br />
