The <br />bids were then opened and read aloud. A total of seven responsive bids were received. <br />S. R. Weidema, Inc. submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $229,592.00. The bids <br />were checked for mathematical accuracy and the tabulation is enclosed. The engineer's <br />estimate was $298,758.00. A bid was received from Perkins Contracting on the wrong <br />proposal form and subsequently rejected. The proposal by Perkins would not have been <br />the low bid. <br />S. R. Weidema, Inc. has successfully completed projects for OSM and the City of Lino <br />Lakes. Based on their previous performance on similar projects, we anticipate that S. R. <br />Weidema, Inc. is capable of successfully completing the Phase 2 Town Center Parkway <br />Street and Utility Construction project. <br />We recommend award of the contract for construction to S. R.
