AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: David Ahrens, Public Works Director /City Engineer <br />DATE: 4/22/98 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 98 -60 - West Shadow Lake Drive <br />Culvert Replacement - Approve Plans and <br />Specifications and Order Advertisement to Receive <br />Bids. <br />INTRODUCTION: <br />The City is proposing the replacement of the culvert under West Shadow Lake <br />Drive. Council action is required to order the advertisement to receive bids. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The existing corrugated metal culvert under West Shadow Lake Drive is <br />deteriorating and causing problems with the road surface. The City has made <br />several repairs of the road surface. A decision was made to replace the culvert <br />with a concrete arch pipe. <br />SCHEDULE: <br />The West Shadow Lake Drive culvert replacement project is scheduled as <br />follows: <br />Advertise to receive bids April 28, 1998 <br />Receive Bids May 20, 1998 <br />Award Contract May 26, 1998 <br />Preconstruction Meeting June 1, 1998 <br />Construction Begins June 3, 1998 <br />Estimated Construction Completion June 30, 1998 <br />FINANCING: <br />The City will pay for the project using the Surface Water Management Fund. <br />
