Pecchia, Chief of Police <br />DATE April 27, 1999 <br />TOPIC Consideration of Resolution No 98 -54 <br />Accepting Donation from Minnesota <br />D.A.R.E., Inc. for the D.A.R.E. <br />Program. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Commencing in 1995, the Lino Lakes Police Department began <br />teaching the D.A.R.E. Program in local elementary schools. <br />The goal of the Lino Lakes Police Department is to ensure <br />that the D.A.R.E. Program will become totally funded through <br />donations from the community. Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc. is <br />aware of this goal and has donated $2,000.00 toward the cost <br />of administering the program in the local elementary schools <br />in 1998. The purpose of Resolution No. 98 - 54 is to <br />publicly thank Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc. for their generous <br />donation. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Adopt Resolution No. 98 - 54 accepting the donation. <br />2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
