AGENDA ITEM NO 4A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Pete Kluegel, Building Official <br />DATE May 19, 1998 <br />TOPIC Consideration of SAC Refund Letter <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City Council is aware that SAC collected from some Lino Lakes residents as part of <br />their building permits and sent to the Metropolitan Council has been returned to the City <br />by the Metropolitan Council. The Council has directed that a letter be written to these <br />residents telling them that they may request a refund of the original SAC payment plus <br />interest. I have drafted a refund letter with the assistance of the City Clerk and the <br />Finance Director. I am requesting authorization from the City Council to mail the letter to <br />the affected residents. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt a motion approving the refund letter as presented. <br />2. Adopt a motion approving the refund letter with amendments. <br />3. Return to staff for a complete revision. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
