Anoka County Contract No. 960537 <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF REALIGNED OTTER LAKE ROAD <br />(COUNTY ROAD NO. 84) FROM CEDAR STREET TO MAIN STREET <br />(COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY NO. 14) <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 13th day of August, 1996, by and between the <br />County of Anoka, a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, 2100 Third Avenue, Anoka, <br />Minnesota 55303, hereinafter referred to as the "County," and the City of Lino Lakes, 1189 Main Street, <br />Lino Lakes, Minnesota 55014, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and the lead agency for this <br />Agreement. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, the parties to this Agreement are mutually agreed that the realignment of Otter Lake <br />Road and construction of a storm sewer system should be done as soon as possible; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that Otter Lake Road should continue to be on the County system; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the parties consider it mutually desirable to relocate the intersection of Otter Lake <br />Road and Main Street to a point farther away from the I -35E exit ramp; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that after construction of the realigned Otter Lake Road it will be <br />mutually desirable to turn over the existing Otter Lake Road between the realignment and Main Street <br />to the City of Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is in their best interest that the City cause the reconstruction <br />of Otter Lake Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the County will fund its portion of the construction in exchange for elimination of <br />the existing Otter Lake Road connection to Main Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the City will prepare plans and specifications for Anoka County Highway Project <br />No. 96- 07 -84; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree it is in their best interest that the cost of said project be shared; and <br />
