AGENDA ITEM NO 5A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Pete Kluegel, Building Official <br />DATE June 3, 1998 <br />TOPIC <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Consideration of Emergency Ordinance No. 08 98 <br />Providing for the Use of Motor Homes as <br />Temporary Residences During Repair of Damaged <br />to Dwelling Which Occurred on May 15, 1998 <br />Attached you will find Emergency Ordinance No. 08 - 98. The Building Inspections <br />Department has been contacted by a residents of Lino Lakes requesting to be allowed to <br />occupy a motor home on their property while working to repair their storm damaged <br />homes. These people are currently housed in motel rooms and want to repair their own <br />homes. I am recommending that the homeowners be allowed to park a motor home on <br />their property subject to specific criteria in the emergency ordinance. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt a motion approving Emergency Ordinance No 08 - 98. <br />2. Adopt a motion to return to staff for further information. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option No. 1 <br />
