AGENDA ITEM 6C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: David Ahrens, City Engineer /Public Works Director <br />DATE: June 8, 1998 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 98 - 84 , Approve Loan Agreement with <br />Metropolitan Council, Inflow and Infiltration Reduction - Lakes <br />Addition Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The attached Inflow /Infiltration Control Program Loan Agreement between the <br />Metropolitan Council and Lino Lakes requires City Council approval to allow the <br />City to take advantage of a $40,000 loan to finance sanitary sewer repairs in the <br />Lakes Addition area of Lino Lakes. Both the City Attorney and Finance Director <br />have reviewed and found acceptable the Agreement. <br />A provision in the Agreement states that repayment of the loan may be waived if <br />the City reaches its goals in reducing inflow and infiltration into the sanitary <br />sewer main. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for additional review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution No. 98 - 84 approving the Inflow /Infiltration Control <br />Program Loan Agreement between the Metropolitan Council and Lino Lakes. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends to Council to adopt Resolution No. 98 - 84. <br />
