AGENDA ITEM NO. 6B
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Parks and Recreation Director
DATE
June 10, 1998
TOPIC: Authorization to proceed with 1998 Park Board
Goals
BACKGROUND:
Attached are the 1998 Park Board Goals and Priorities. This
list includes the installation of playground equipment at Birch
Park, Shenandoah Park, and Lino Park, trails in Rice Lake
Estates Park and Birchwood Acres Park, and some minor
improvements at Country Lakes Park, including a sand volleyball
court, horseshoes and BBQ grills.
Pheasant Hills Park will be completed based upon the existing
master plan. I met with residents of the Pheasant Hills Park
area and they were in agreement to complete the park as planned.
We are also planning on master planning Behm's Century Farm Park
and Marshan Park.
I am requesting the City Council to authorize the expenditure of
dedicated funds identified in the right hand funding source
column.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve the 1998. Park Board Goals and authorize staff to
expend funds from the park dedication fund in the
approximate dollar amount listed.
Return to Park Board for further review.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option 1.
sw /rick / Authorization to proceed with 1998 Park Board Goals
