COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 22, 1998 <br />2. Behm's Century Farms <br />3. Country Lakes Estates <br />4. Lino Air Park North <br />Mr. Ahrens indicated that as part of the paving project, the following trails will also be paved: <br />1. Elm Street extension to City limits (This trail will be gravel only) <br />2. Arrowhead Drive to existing trail in Shenandoah Park <br />3. Hodgson Road near the bus company to Fox Trace <br />4. Clearwater Creek (2 trails) <br />5. Fox Trace connection to Hodgson Road (south of Linda Drive) <br />6. Rice Lake Estates connection to Baldwin Park <br />7. Birchwood Acres connection between Lonesome Pine Trail and Fox Road <br />8. Pheasant Hills Park trail to existing play area <br />Mr. Ahrens stated that the City paves the final wear course on development projects <br />approximately 1 year after the base course is put in place. This delay of one year allows for <br />potential settlement of the base course. Prior to paving the wear course, any problems in the <br />streets are corrected. The trail paving projects are included with the wear course to provide a <br />greater quantity of paving to potentially lower the total project costs. <br />Mayor Sullivan asked why the Elm Street trail will be gravel only. Mr. Ahrens stated that only a <br />portion of Elm street will be gravel only. The gravel will be west of the senior housing project. <br />The completion of the trail has been delayed until more progress is made with construction. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to adopt Resolution No. 98 - 91, as presented. Council Member <br />Lyden seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 98 - 91 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 98 - 92, Accepting Donation from the Circle -Lex VFW <br />Post 6583 - Mayor Sullivan stated that the goal of the Lino Lakes Police Department is to <br />enhance volunteerism within the community by utilizing the Reserve Officer program.
