PROCLAMATION <br />NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 1998 <br />WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) <br />is once again sponsoring a unique, nationwide crime and drug <br />prevention program on August 4, 1998 called "National Night Out "; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the "15th Annual National Night Out" provides <br />a unique opportunity for Lino Lakes to join forces with thousands <br />of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, <br />police- community crime and drug prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes plays a vital role in <br />assisting the Lino Lakes Police Department through joint crime <br />and drug prevention efforts in Lino Lakes and is supporting <br />"National Night Out 1998" locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Lino <br />Lakes be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and <br />impact that their participation can have on reducing crime and <br />drug abuse in Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, police- community partnerships and neighborhood <br />safety and awareness and cooperation are important themes of the <br />"National Night Out" program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE I, MAYOR SULLIVAN, do hereby call upon <br />all citizens of Lino Lakes to join the Lino Lakes City Council <br />and the National Association of Town Watch in supporting "15th <br />Annual National Night Out" on August 4, 1998. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT I, MAYOR SULLIVAN, do <br />hereby proclaim Tuesday, August 4, 1998 as "National Night Out" <br />in Lino Lakes. <br />Kimberly A.
