Total construction <br />valuation was $22,605,384. This compares with the second quarter of 1997 when 294 <br />total permits were issued, with a valuation of $13,407488. Through June 30, 1998 115 <br />new Single Family home permits have been issued. This total includes 32 townhomes <br />and 3 mobile homes. This compares with 74 new homes in the first half of 1997. A <br />difference of 41. The majority of the residential activity has been in Behm's Century <br />Farms, Clearwater Creek and Millers South Glen subdivisions. Five building permits <br />were issued in the Institutional sector in the second quarter of 1998. These include <br />footings and foundation for the Civic Complex ($400,000) Anoka County Parks <br />Chomonix for a fence ($9,800) Anoka County Park building (2,500), Minnesota <br />Correctional Facility addition ($200,000), Prison roof ($172, 300) for a total construction <br />cost of $784,600. Five commercial permits consisted of the Lino Lakes Bank ($754,943) <br />Simonson Liquor remodel and Signs for Fairview Clinic, Fina Market and Reason <br />Computer were issued for a total value of $777,683. Electrical contract permits <br />generated $4,118 of revenue to date. Six septic system repairs were made in the second <br />quarter. The C -Store project on 21st Avenue is almost ready for occupancy. Moline <br />concrete will be starting on their office building and the Lakeland National Bank is under <br />construction.
