AGENDA ITEM 7E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: David Ahrens, Public Works Di rector rCity Engineer <br />DATE: July 21, 1998 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No 98 -117, Approve Payment No 1 (final) West <br />Shadow Lake Drive Culvert Replacement Project <br />BACKGROUND; <br />The Contractor for the " West Shadow Lake Drive Culvert Replacement Project is <br />requesting City approval of payment no 1 (final) In the amount of $32,739.65. The <br />original contract amount for the project was $28,297.00. The difference between the <br />original and final amounts ($4,442.65) is due to the need to remove poor soils that were <br />under the existing pipe and replace these soils with an aggregate base. A change order <br />was issued to rectify original and final quantities. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution Number 98 -117, approving Change Order 1 and Payment No 1 <br />(final) West Shadow Lake Drive Culvert Replacement Project <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution Number 98 -117 be adopted. <br />
