Telecommunications Commission <br />Media Center <br />July 22, 1998 <br />Mayor Kim Sullivan <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />1189 Main Street <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />RE: APPROVAL OF 1999 COMMISSION AND MEDIA CENTER BUDGETS <br />Dear Mayor Sullivan: <br />Enclosed, please find for the council's review and approval the 1999 Budgets for both <br />the North Metro Telecommunications Commission ( "Commission ") and the North <br />Metro Media Center ( "Media Center "). <br />I. 1998 COMMISSION BUDGET <br />The Commission's operating budget for 1999 is proposed at $198,671. This is a <br />decrease of $17,606 over the 1998 budget. <br />Recommendation: That the Member Cities approve the 1999 Commission Budget <br />as presented by the Commission. <br />II. 1998 MEDIA CENTER BUDGET <br />The amended Joint Powers Agreement established an "Operations Committee" which <br />is composed of Member City administrators. Their primary responsibility is to provide <br />input to the operation and budget of the Community Media Center. Enclosed is the <br />1999 Media Center budget proposed by the Operations Committee and recommended <br />by the Commission for approval by it's Member Cities. <br />The Media Center budget is proposed at $492,187 for 1999. This is composed of <br />operating expenditures of $358,743 and capital expenditures of $133,445.
