Council Member adoption. introduced the following resolution and moved its CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 158 A RESOL UTIONACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE FOREST LAKE AREA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LINO LAKES PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S FIRST ANNUAL FAMILY TURKEY SHOOT EVENT WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is holding this annual holiday event for the first time on November 14, 1998; and WHEREAS, The event is a free holiday event for the families of Lino Lakes; and WHEREAS, Participant teams, consisting of one child (ages 4 -14) and one adult, will compete in a variety of low -key athletic events for prizes; and WHEREAS, The Forest Lake Area Athletic Association was made aware of the desire of the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department to conduct the Family Turkey Shoot with the support of a program sponsor and has donated $100.00 to the City to defer the costs of this event. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Lino Lakes hereby accepts the donation of $100.00 to help fund the Family Turkey Shoot event and wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Forest Lake Area Athletic Association for its donation. Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. The following voted against same: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
