The County has retained the firm of Buetow and Associates to provide a full scope
of architectural services for this project. Concept and layout plans have already been reviewed by the
County's Parks and Recreation Committee and Architectural Planning Committee. The architect is currently
in the process of developing detailed plans and specifications. It is our intent to bid the project in December
and to award the construction in January.
Mod Feders, with Buetow, has asked that I forward to you information regarding the intended use and
function of the dubhouse, along with our plans for re- landscaping the building.
Clubhouse
The main dubhouse will continue to provide the same basic services that it has in the past. Green fee and
concession sales, merchandise displays, seating areas, and restrooms will be the predominant feature in the
main dubhouse area. Improvements will be made in the layout scheme and aesthetics. Modifications are
being made to the restrooms to bring them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Additional storage and office space is being provided for on the south side of the building through an
expansion.
The newest feature of the dubhouse will be a banquet and meeting facility on the building's north side. This
will be a four season room with a gas fireplace and seating capadty for about 120 people. The incorporation
of glass windows and doors will offer outstanding views to the putting green and the 1, 18th, and 9t
fairways. The primary use of the facility will be for post - toumament events during the playing season. In
the off - season, the room will be available for ski related events and community uses, e.g. wedding
receptions, family reunions, corporate gatherings, etc. The room will be serviced with a modest sized
"catering" and staging area. This will not be a formal kitchen facility where heated food will be cooked and
prepared. Rather, it is intended to be a serving space for foods which are pre- prepared and brought to the
fadlity. We anticipate that local caterers, who currently provide limited services in the building, will find the
new fadlity to be functional and well designed for their use.
Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer
